TOPICS
Conscious of the climate emergency that humanity shares, this first conference aims to address the following topics:
1. LOW ENTROPY URBANISM
2. LOW CARBON BUILDINGS
3. REGENERATIVE ARCHITECTURE
4. BIO, AND LOW-IMPACT MATERIALS
The first topic aims to stimulate discussions on negentropic spatial planning related to previewing and mitigating environmental impacts, with a particular emphasis on climate change mitigation through local urbanization planning and regulation.
The second topic aims to encourage conversations about architectural and engineering solutions and reflections on operational and embodied carbon in building construction and operation, envisioning the new European Directive on Energy in Buildings.
The third topic aims to foster discussions on architectural design, focusing on cutting-edge approaches to regenerative construction, considering adaptive housing and other built spaces, in both social and environmental contexts, focusing also responses to the housing crisis.
Finally, the fourth topic aims to promote discussions on traditional and innovative construction materials that ensure low energy consumption and embodied carbon, high circularity or bio-integration, and provide good operational performance for buildings and the built environment in general.
